autumn

i brushed my hand
against the face of autumn.
and at first i found him unbearably cold.

his eyes were sad
and his words were soft
like his heart was unbearably old.

i'll be okay
i gasped with pain
it'll just take a little time.

but when he reached out
and held me close
i knew that we'd be fine.

  3. Beautiful photos and personification. I love the idea of autumn being a man. That is wonderful. Kind of wishing he would show up right about now, but summer is still reigning supreme where I live.

  4. This is it. As autumn comes, I see that I just may be okay again.
You have no idea what this does to me, for me, how many times I've read it over and over.
This reaches out and holds me close
    And I know
I know that I'll be fine.
